Ross Murray - this is a guy who can design and manufacture ANYTHING!!! He made all the alloy brackets and assorted bits and pieces for the supercharger, alternator, crank trigger wheel and pickup, throttle body adaptor, wheels, fuel tank, crank pulley and water pump pulley (to name a few things).... His work of art must be the Blower to Crank brace that he made from scratch, using no pre-existing plans or drawings. It is one of the signature pieces of this car, and Ross must be deservedly proud of his workmanship to be able to manufacture artwork like this from a clean sheet of paper. Thanks a lot mate!!!

Scott Hampson - He's the guy behind Venom Custom Fabrications in Brisbane. Ph. 07 3208 3224. Email him here...He has a business to run, but you get the feeling that he's more a Cobra fanatic more than just a guy that works on them. He has an unhealthy affection for Jap Import parts, which might explain the Twin Turbo 4.0L Lexus V8 that's going into his own Cobra. Oh... I suppose it's worth mentioning the GTR independent rear end, and the 4WD system that he's designing using the Skyline box and Toyota front diff!!! It's probably easier to list what Scott hasn't helped me with - I was really losing interest before I took my car to him for assistance. Thanks for everything Scott!!!

Craig Hasted - Owner of Cragar Performance in Brisbane. Ph 07 3800 1958. I've got to be honest and say that Craig wasn't my first choice for a dyno tune, primarily because I had heard stories of him charging too much money for services performed. I'd never heard anything bad about the quality of his work, just the prices. I rang him one day, just to see what he'd say. Not only did he make time for me on the phone, but whenever I'd drop in unannounced he'd answer all my questions. He's the sort of guy that you really feel knows what he's talking about. no bull, no sales gimmicks - just the answers you need to hear. Anyway, for all the dramas that I had on the dyno (none of which were the fault of Cragar Performance), Craig did me a really killer deal for his dyno time. Just goes to show what bull the rumours were. Thanks for everything Craig - I learnt a whole lot by standing beside you in the dyno room. Thanks also to Steve and Neil.

Steve Manning - Owner of Custom Performance Wiring Services Ph. 3277 8340. The last car that I had rewired cost me a fortune. The quotes that I had received through the other "Motec approved" wiring guys were out of control. Really stupid money!!! Steve is also Motec Approved, but his prices were really reasonable. I got a custom engine bay loom with MilSpec plug, Raychem heatshielding and MilSpec wires off him. I was going to have any old auto electrician wire the rest of the car for me, thinking I might save a few dollars. For the quality of his work, and the prices he charges - you'd be mad to go anywhere else.

Tony Harrington - Owner of Ultratune Indooroopilly. Ph 3878 2455. Does a good tune-up on your everyday car, but he's the Powerglide Trans guru! This is my second Powerglide from him - my first one is still going strong in my 460 Ford XY. He's a no nonsense guy that you just know will build best the best trans available, and at a reasonable price. Throughout this build-up I've occasionally wondered if I had paid too much for various parts or services. With Tony, you just know that you're getting more than your money's worth.

Grant Watson - Owner of Pro-Sport in Brisbane. Ph 3277 3114. He's the chassis builder - jeez that was a long time ago! Built a solid chassis for the right price, and he was the guy that got me into this mess in the first place. We built the chassis when I had plans on having a 400hp circuit racing Cobra... See him about his latest one-make motorcycle powered racing cars. Good fun cars that go like stink!

R & E Racing Thanks for taking all my money! I bought the motor, brakes, trans parts, dzus fasteners, tyres, anodised fittings, braided lines, fuel cell, superchargers, gauges - EVERYTHING off these guys. It's a scary thought sending your money to a shop that you've never even seen, but they came good with some quality parts at great prices.
